Saltlake Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. (SIPL) is a Kolkata based IT Consultancy specializing in Enterprise Software and E-Governance. SIPL has been contracted to develop the Audit Planning and Scheduling System (APSS) and to provide on-site and online support for the software. APSS is an Audit Management System.

State Audit Institution is the Supreme Audit Institution of the Sultanate of Oman. The audit body in Oman has been established for more than 34 years. SAI works by state audit law issued by royal decree No. 55/2000 which declared SAI as an autonomous legal entity that enjoys a financial, administrative and operational independence that carries out post audits of the state public funds in addition to monitoring the performance of entities falling under its jurisdiction.

SAI is responsible for conducting financial and regularity audits, performance audit and follow-up of the implementation of the plan, and review of decisions issued in connection with the financial contraventions.

Commenting on the successful deployment of Audit Planning and Scheduling System (APSS), Mr. Prashant Verma (Director) said in Kolkata: “I am confident that APSS will help SAI Oman to plan and monitor their audit activities in a better manner. In an intensive SRS phase, we have met with all Directorates General of SAI, including the Planning Directorate and captured their requirements. Scheduling and Rescheduling of their audits can now be done much more easily than the manual process followed earlier. The Skill Matching and Prioritization functions implemented will ensure that the right Auditees are chosen (as per prioritization) and the right people are assigned to audit them (as per Skill Matching). The Audit Status and History functions will put the current status and the Plan Progress Report at the fingertips of the top management.”
